AUTOBIOGRAPHY
South Kilburn Estate is the result of a collaboration with Motiva Art — a platform with a unique approach to philosophical expression, merging visual artwork with meaningful quotes and lyrics that transform an image into a narrative.
Working with Motiva gave Godi the opportunity to see his artwork take on new dimension — words woven into the visual, each one chosen to resonate with specific personal experiences, deepening what the image communicates on its own.
The piece reflects childhood in South Kilburn, a deep and enduring love for London, and the resilience that develops through navigating difficult times. It's a work about place, memory, and identity — and the way those three things become inseparable over time.
The collaboration became something genuinely meaningful: a narrative of strength told through visual and philosophical art, blending the personal and the universal in a piece that speaks far beyond its origins.
The Collaboration
The Visual
Godi's original artwork — rooted in the imagery and spirit of South Kilburn — brought the foundation of the piece. The visual language speaks to place: the estate, the streets, the specific texture of growing up in this part of London.
The Words
Motiva's method layers meaningful quotes and lyrics into the visual composition. Each line was chosen to echo the emotional truth of the work — amplifying themes of resilience, identity, and belonging that are embedded in the image itself.
